NEW RELEASE | Ockz- The Stuyvesants Chronicles

 Hip-Hop/Rap

Check out this brand new full length project called The Stuyvesant Chronicles from Brooklyn‘s own Ockz. In true no-frills indie hip hop form, the rough-edged voiced emcee out of Bed-Stuy finds some of the best and the dustiest jazz & soul gems from back in the day, puts them on the Tech 12‘s, and spit vicious rhymes over the unlooped & unchopped original cuts. Part homage to the greats in hip hop (especially that gritty soul sound made famous by the D.I.T.C. and Gangstarr camps), and part showcase of Ockz heavyweight rhymes and flow, The Stuyvesant Chronicles is a nice slice of throwback beats, rhymes & life echoing the best of the mid-to-late 90’s underground rap scene. Shout to Ryan Procter and his Old To The New site for put me up on this one. Check it out below and enjoy!
