NEW RELEASE | K-Def & The 45 King- Back To The Beat, vol. 2

New music from two legendary names in the arena of beats & breaks. On Back To The Beat vol. 2, groove hounds K-Def &(MarkThe 45 King link up for the second volume in their heavy funk and super breaks themed series. For this latest batch of rare grooves and funk-fueled cuts, the two-man sound library continue the “part beat tape/part funky compilation” theme that made the original release a fan favorite, with both men creating sounds that feel steeped in the past yet somehow fresh and new at the same time. While I have no doubt that the duo dipped deep into their crates, SP-1200‘s, and  MPC‘s for standout cuts like “Things I Do”, “Zulu Strings”, “Giants Meet”, and “96 W Street”, listeners will also get the feeling that many of the tracks could easily be mistaken for newly constructed live band jams.  Check it out below then head over to Redefinition RecordsBandcamp page (HERE) to get the vinyl and/or cassette.
