Big Wave & Carter – ’75 Chevy EP

 Hip-Hop/Instrumental
 EP

Blissfully blunted sounds from beatmaker/arranger Big Wave and multi-instrumentalist Carter Burgess on the 4 track extended player ’75 Chevy (HERE) – a concise and groove heavy mid-stepper that features a really dope, Ummah-ish cut called “Lovemenow”

[su_highlight background=”#fff799″]The 75 Chevy EP was recorded over the summer of 2016 in a 1975 Chevy G20 Camper Van parked at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Bought for $600 dollars from an ex-hippie whose touring days were behind him, the van was converted into a mobile recording studio (although the floor-to-ceiling purple shag carpeting was left intact). Evan Morris (Big Wave) and local musician Carter Burgess recorded hours of riffs and licks that were distilled down into the four tracks on the album. This is the first release marking Big Wave’s move from sample based hip-hop into original grooves.[/su_highlight]
