Lorine Chia & Romero Mosley – NameOfEP

 Soul/R&B
 EP

Singer Lorine Chia and producer Romero Mosley share sounds that are sunny and ambrosial feeling while also being thickly layered and topical on their latest production, When Morning Comes (HERE). Standouts on the 6 track jazzy-soul opus include the buttery album opener “A Little While (5683), the cherry chillout jewel that is Intergalactic Love (Interlude)” (which clocks in at a fully satisfying 5 minutes), and the smokey drum break & piano soul closer “Find Your Love” (featuring a closing poem from the well loved Dungeon Family representer Big Rube).

Amare Symoné – GlassWindows

 Soul/R&B
 EP

Singer/songwriter Amare Symoné lifts the veil on a store of casually rapturous, mosaic soul numbers on the just released EP, Glass Windows (HERE). Sounding wise beyond her years on songs that command warm and simmering powers, the rising young performer – alongside producer/collaborator NversivE still allows her personality and youthful energy to shine bright throughout the 7 track player.

Javier Simon – Night Shift

 Soul/R&B
 LP

Singer Javier Simon and producer Quiroga offer up the full length album Night Shift (HERE) – a meteoric dose of brightly lit, radio inclined pop-soul  that features some solid R&B moments like the crowd moving cut “Red Lights”; the slick stalking track “Media Circus”;  a crazy cool slice of neo-soul goodness in the title track “Night Shift”;  and a floating soul number called “Legit”

 Soul/R&B
 Single

Na!ra extends a delicately sketched invite to a potential love interest on the rosy love song “My Musings” – the most recent shot of hip-hop soul to come from the young singer since the release of her FEARLESS: The Art of Letting Go EP (HERE).

Amare Symoné – Loose

 Soul/R&B
 Single

Amare Symoné, a talented artist and gypsy spirit that currently calls Chicago her home, sets at large one hell of a wonderful surprise on the whirlwind single “Loose” – a self strengthening, steady rocker that builds on the topical issue of “slut shaming” from a young club goer’s point of view. The single serves as sparkling opening course prior to the release of Symone‘s soon-to-drop debut EP GlassWindows  (which touches down on October 12th

Seven Davis Jr – Circa 1999

 Soul/R&B
 LP

Full-fledged, lo-fidelity funk & soul from the mind of Seven Davis Jr on the newly shared album Circa 1999 (HERE) – an off-the-cuff styled jam project that is equal parts thickly laid, left-field funk and unfiltered, me-and-my-piano soul. Standouts include the Ummah-in-the-raw finger snap jam “Funny Thangs”; a jungle boogie 4 track gem called “EOTW (End Of The World)”; a slinky kink cut called “Pornostar”; and a psychoaquafunk wig out piece called “Shady Mofos”

Crue – Intuitive Music

 Soul/R&B
 EP

Atmospheric yet rootsy soul-jazz sounds as written, arranged, and performed by Crue – a left-field leaning singer and violinist whose music drifts and melts in the air on the new EP, Intuitive Music (HERE). Experimental and weightless themes throughout, with album opener “Hoarding Reveries” serving as a personal fave.
