GET INVOLVED | Support Boog Brown’s Fundraiser For Her Upcoming Tour

While it may not seem like it in light of my general lack of coverage, I’m a big fan of Boog Brown‘s music. So I jumped at the chance to help donate to her recently launched fundraiser to help support her upcoming “BYOB: Boog And Yamin On the Bill” tour with fellow indie artist and Working Class Music Group member Yamin Semali. Check out the link and article below to find out more about the fundraiser and tour, and please donate if you can. And if you can’t, please help spread the word via social media links and good old-fashioned word of mouth:

NEW RELEASE | Monday/Friday- Monday/Friday

In what is set to be a key offering from the Working Class Music Group collective, label head Illastrate and the ever inventive emcee Yamin Semali (fka AmDex of the group Clan Destined) link up to form the group Monday/Friday and drop their self-titled debut LP on the world.

NEW RELEASE | Khay da King- Tranzition

19 year old lyricist KhayDaKing keeps it raw yet reflective on his newly released 8-track debut album Tranzition. From the start, Khay‘s output moves into an introspective and somewhat cathartic realm with the perfectly titled intro track Soul Searching“. Produced by Lex Boogie (from the Bronx), the cut features haunting strings and pulsing rhythms, which completely mesh with the themes of growth and ambition that the young wordsmith addresses in his rhymes.

NEW RELEASE | Arablak- Fresh Heir Chapter 3: The Coronation

Arablak drops the third and final chapter of his Fresh Heir album series with the release of Fresh Heir Chapter 3: The Coronation.  As with the previous entries, Arablak‘s creative rhymes and street level delivery mesh very well with the stack soul rooted beats chosen for the series. Standouts include the vocal showcasing intro cut “What I’m Talking About”; the chopped up, “let-me-talk-my-shxt” showpiece “Shakedown” (featuring Mr. Live); and the infinitely repeatable head-nod cut “Sum 1 U Not (featuring Jass Bianchi).

NEW RELEASE | Arablak- Fresh Heir Chapter 1: The Inheritance

“Through the process of creating a new album, Arablak recorded a large body of work that he broke down into three EPs, each symbolizing a part of his journey to create the songs. The first to be released in the “Fresh Heir” EP series is Fresh Heir Chapter 1: The Inheritance. Many will remember the project’s lead track “The Deed,” which plays like a hip hop revival. The Inheritance also features tracks with Headkrack, Larry Cheeba, Steadfast and production from Superlative Beats, DJ Cutz, and DJ Manipulator.
